FdA Graphic Spatial Communication Year 1

The students created these Blind Contour drawings during their first session with me. These are observational drawings of a range of 3D models set up in the studio as a still life.

Brief
You are required to make drawings from the models set up in the studio. You will complete 6 exercises that are intended to help you develop your visualising techniques further and to get you to question your own assumptions about drawing. There is limited time for this project so work in an efficient manner and remember to use your sketchbooks or notes books to record your discoveries and test your ideas

Blind Contour drawing exercises will force you to concentrate on the subject matter and not your drawing. Blind contour drawing means drawing the outline of the subject without looking at the paper. What is important is carefully observing the subject

Good start everyone.
