ANDREW HITCHEN: Andrew has written a 10,000 word story which he will illustrate. It is aimed at school readers aged 8-11. It is a dark tale of the Dream Catcher and how he menaces two young children.

In the discussions Andrew was advised to research the work of Chris Applehans, illustrator and character designer. It was stressed that the appearance of the characters had to be consistent. A flexible approach to potential client needs also has to be considered.

Andrew is combining his new digital colour collage techniques with his established line work.

Andrew is also working on his own version of The Tempset so will have to work very hard to complete this task for the June 2009 deadline.
