ANDREW HITCHEN 2: Andrew still has to design his Double Page Spread (DPS) illustration and he is a little uncertain how to begin this. It was suggested that if a client was going to pay extra to get a DPS illustration into a book then the DPS illustration must exploit the format and be something that contains dynamic activity. He has experimented with textures for backgrounds and used his growing knowledge of Photoshop to manipulate his imagery.

Andrew’s production rate has him on schedule and he is producing images to a high standard. At this late stage it might be useful to reflect on the ideas further and take some more risks with the content. This project has more potential than he may have yet realised.

It is important to remember the purpose of his FMP and not to become seduced by the making of the artwork. Remember the message and audience for this work.
